Significant people, folklorists, scholars, collectors and revivalists I've compiled these pages according to whom I've learned to see as significant individuals (I will get down to adding groups later!) that have contributed to American folk music in some way or another. I hope you find these pages useful, and please remember that they are still work in progress! Nevertheless, any suggestions - and corrections - are most welcome. :) Please do have a read through if you're interested - and I hope you enjoy reading about these people as much as I've enjoyed researching them! :)

Individuals are listed chronologically by age. I have yet to add individual musician biographies; at the moment I am currently focusing on archivists, scholars, anthologists and mainstay subjects in folksongs. :)
